Does your significant other participate in Fantasy Football? If you’re anything like me, Fantasy Football talk probably goes right over your head! The only football game I really care to watch is the Super Bowl, and let’s be honest, that’s more about the food. Wouldn’t you love to join a Fantasy team for yourself, FITNESS style?
Let me tell you a little bit about what program we will be using, and why! The 21 Day Fix will be our focus for this particular challenge. There is a reason this is one of our most popular programs- the color coded containers are a life-saver! How many times have you gone on a “diet” to try to lose weight, without a clear focus or direction? Choosing healthier items and eating smaller portions is a fantastic way to start, but you could still be over-eating without knowing it. The 21 Day Fix takes the guesswork out of losing weight. You plug a few numbers into a simple formula to figure out exactly how many calories you should be consuming each day. Once you’ve figured that out, you refer to the chart in your nutrition guide to learn about your specific plan. You’ll know exactly how many of each container you are allowed each day, and the charts in the guide make it easy to figure out what to put in each of them. This plan works so well because it doesn’t starve you. You are fueling your body with the nutrients it craves, while also having a little bit of room for a few special treats (like wine! and chocolate!).
As a coach, my job is to help you with your meal plan. We will spread out your containers throughout the day to ensure that you aren’t feeling hungry and that you are getting balanced meals and snacks. We will talk about how to find 21 Day Fix friendly recipes, and how to make it work when you are cooking for your family as well. I will help you schedule in your workouts and be there to give you a kick in the butt when you are lacking motivation. If you commit to me, I commit to you- and I won’t let you fail! We really wanted to have a FUN, think-outside-the-box October challenge. Our Fantasy Fitness challenge is perfect for you if you struggle with motivation and accountability. Not only will you have a partner to help keep on track, but you will be able to earn points towards great prizes at the end. You will earn points by being active in the challenge; checking in each day in our Facebook group, sharing healthy recipe ideas, sharing photos of your meals/snacks, motivating others, etc. We will have a grand prize for the team who earns the most points, and a few smaller prizes for other teams who came close.
This challenge will run for 21 days, and at the end, you are going to be well on your way to a healthier lifestyle. Depending on your current fitness level and the amount of effort you put in, you can expect to lose an average of 10 lbs during the first round. More importantly, you’re going to be feeling happy, confident, and STRONG!
